FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The quick answers that help you decide with confidence—especially around stairs, parking, and how booking works.
How do we reserve a stay?
Choose a residence, then complete your reservation through the secure checkout for that specific residence:
Is there an elevator?
No. All three residences are stairs only, located on the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th floors.
Is parking included?
Yes—each residence includes one dedicated off-street parking space.
Can we bring more than one car?
Each residence comes with one off-street space. Additional vehicles will need to use street parking or nearby public options.
Where are you located?
The residences are within the Eugenia C. & James H. Johnston House at 217 E Charlton St, Savannah, GA. Location.
Are the fireplaces functional?
No—the fireplaces are non-functional and are for decorative purposes only.
Do you allow pets or smoking?
To keep the residences comfortable for every guest, we’re not able to host pets and we maintain a strictly non‑smoking property. That means no smoking or vaping inside, on balconies, or anywhere on the premises.
Where can we find the full policies?
Policies are provided via the Southern Belle Rental Agreement: Southern Belle Rental Agreement (opens in a new tab).
Who manages reservations and guest support?
Reservations & guest support are managed by Southern Belle Vacation Rentals. You’ll complete your reservation on their secure checkout.
Are the residences in the same building?
Yes—Vacation on Lafayette is three private residences within the same historic house, each on its own floor.
Can we book more than one residence for a group trip?
Yes, if availability allows. Reserve each residence separately, then message the manager through your reservation if you’d like help coordinating.
Anything else we should know before we arrive?
The biggest two to plan for: walk-up access and one reserved parking space per residence. Everything else—check-in details, house notes, and trip guidance—will be provided with your reservation.
